Wide-leg jeans are back, and I'm not mad about it. |
I visited San Francisco last week for a story that I'm working on.
I've been to the California city a few times in the past, and I've always enjoyed my time there. This trip was no exception. Save for my last day there, which had Vancouver-like rainy weather, the other days boasted bright, sunny days with mild temperatures — even in Dec.
Here's what I wore on the trip.
I wore this look for a dinner event. I only packed jeans on this trip, so I opted to dress up a pair of cropped flares with a leopard-print top and a few chic accessories.
Another girl-about-town outfit, this time during a more blustery day, I layered a few denim pieces for a cool oversized look that was also very cosy. My top tip for travelling in the winter is to pack a low-profile down vest — I love these ones from Uniqlo — that will easily fit under most blazers, sweaters and jackets for an added layer of warmth without adding bulk.
Last but definitely not least, this look featuring the new Levi's XL Flood jeans. This is a new favourite fit for me as it's such a fun departure from my usual straight-fit styles. I love how you can dress up or dress down a good pair of high-waisted, wide-leg jeans. I wore this look for a day of meetings and events.
All denim pieces: Levi's c/o | Boots: Reformation c/o | Turtleneck: Uniqlo
