I recently travelled to Paris. After two-plus years away from the French city, it was amazing to go back.
Admittedly, it took me a while to come to terms with the fact that I was, in fact, there. I've spent so much time sticking close to home during the pandemic (as most of us have) that it was a bit surreal to find myself halfway across the world enjoying one of my favourite cities again.
If Paris happens to be in your post-pandemic travel plans, here are a few outfit ideas to get you inspired for your trip.
Outfit #1:
I wore this look while attending the Chanel Fall/Winter 2022/23 collection show. It was an absolute dream to attend!
The jacket is a vintage tweed Chanel find from TheRealReal, which I paired with a pair of loose Levi's and my go-to Chanel slingback heel. The metallic-threaded tweed design turned out to be very timely given the collection's nod to the timeless textile. Shop a few similar styles below.
Outfit #2:
I packed for 10 days in France with only a carry-on suitcase, which means I only had room for one blazer/jacket.
I styled it here with a pair of my go-to Levi's Wedgie Straight Jeans and ankle boots from Aldo. Plus, a packable down vest from Uniqlo added some much-needed warmth during a particularly cold day in Paris.
Outfit #3:
I wore this look during a day that saw me travelling by train to the southern coast of France. I wanted something that was chic but also very comfortable.
This pairing of two cashmere pieces and wide-leg pants seemed to fit the bill perfectly. The oversized cashmere cardigan is a beloved H&M find from a few years ago, while the white pants are from Ever New.
Outfit #4:
I wore this looking during a day of strolling and sightseeing.
I again paired the Ba&sh blazer and layering down vest, this time with a pair of slim-fit pants from Theory and an ivory merino wool turtleneck from Uniqlo (if you haven't yet checked these out, I suggest you do!).
The unisex design was perfect for throwing on before going down to breakfast at my hotel. Plus, the soft fibre design added a layer of warmth for a day spent strolling — and people watching outside one of the Paris Fashion Week shows. ;)
If you're in the market for a shacket, be sure to check out this elevated, eco-conscious style. (P.S. - It's also made in B.C.!)
