California company Reformation recently released a collection of wool pieces that are made using regenerative fibres.
Crafted using Nativa wool, which is said to be sourced from "happy sheep, raised on ethical farms," the garments are also traceable, from the farm to the consumer.
I love the idea that we can know more about exactly where our clothes come from. Transparency is an essential step to understanding the true impacts of fashion on the environment.
And, I believe that if we know a little more about each garment's story, we can better appreciate that piece. And, that appreciation just might make us more apt to keep it in our closets for more than a season or two.
Ref's full collection of regenerative wool pieces is worthy of a second look — whether you're a sustainable style shopper who is eager to add more eco-minded options to their closet, or a fashion fan who just loves cute pieces — and if they come with a green perspective, well, that's great too.
I paired the Amelie Regenerative Wool Cardigan with the brand's new Ophelia Western Chelsea Boots. These boots are my new obsession. The fit is fabulous, the heel a perfectly walkable height, and they add an effortless element of 'cool' to all my outfits.
