Here's what I wore to my relaxed bridal shower spa day

I've shared in a previous post about how I've been surprised by the amount of pressure there is around preparing for a wedding in a certain way.

And, for the most part, I haven't wanted any part of it.

Don't get me wrong, it's not like I'm not excited for the upcoming Big Day. I just don't want to buy into the stress, pressure, wedding waste, expectations ... the list goes on.

This wedding is, after all, about myself and my partner. So, I think it's fair to choose what we do and don't want to do — and how we want to do it.

I was adamant that I didn't want a bachelorette party. While I have nothing against booze-fuelled weekends with the girls in celebration, it wasn't something that I wanted to do for me.

Instead, my family organized a nice, relaxing spa day at a downtown spa, followed by happy hour at one of my favourite bistros. Its was an absolute delight.

This is the look I wore for the post-spa drinks — yes, I had an outfit change! I wore a summery cotton dress to the spa, then changed into this effortlessly chic look featuring an Allbirds tank top (my new go-to!) and Club Monaco satin pants.

If there's one wedding-y thing I'm buying into, it's wearing white. I'll also be sporting as many white pieces that my wardrobe can produce for the entirty of my wedding weekend.

Stay tuned for pics!
