Beauty bonus: After season after season of drying matte lipstick formulas, we love the idea of a lipstick that promises to deliver 24-hour hydration. Plus, the sparkly star imprinted on the centre of the lipstick bullet is super cute.
Beauty bummer: If you like the ultra precision of a liquid lipstick or a super-matte formula, this one may migrate too much for your liking.
Overall: We found there was a little bit of a trick to these luxe lipsticks.
Upon initial application, we loved the texture and level of hydration this formula provided, but weren't super pleased with the way the product wore. It was a tad difficult to keep it in the lines, and it didn't seem to wear evenly.
Where we found these balm-like lip products really shone was when they were reapplied. Adding a second coat seemed to smooth the patchiness quite a bit, and we found the second layer helped bring out the desired pigments and long wear.
True to its promise, lips felt soft and moisturized.
Would recommend: If you're a diehard Dior fan who is looking to add a little shine in your life, yes.
