I'm not really a soup person. Like, if I'm at a restaurant, it's probably the last thing on the menu I'll pick.
But, sometimes, like on a cold winter's day — you just need a good bowl of ramen. Good ramen.
I recently went to Akedo Showten in Langley to try out their bowls of noodle-filled goodness (I'll be reviewing it later this month for The Vancouver Sun) and ended up picking a rather inappropriate off-white turtleneck sweater from Le Chateau given the afternoon activity of slurping noodles from broth using chopsticks.
Despite the poor colour choice — especially given the "black" broth that I chose with my ramen — and thanks to some careful eating ... and a few napkins worn as a bib, I came away clean. And stuffed!
Next time, I'll opt for one of my go-to black turtlenecks instead. :P
