I'm always fascinated when fashion brings "back" a tried-and-true silhouette or style — and makes it "in" again.
That's the case with the classic puffer coat.
Brands like Balenciaga and Vetements made the larger-than-life toppers a statement piece on the runways, and retailers like Aritzia are bringing it to the streets for a real-way approach. And I'm kind of obsessed.
The Super Puff is a fun, functional piece that's warm, puffy and very oversized. Let's just say, it's not for those who prefer all their clothes to be figure flattering. But, then again, a puffer coat isn't meant to make you look svelte. It's intended to keep you warm when the temps drop — and let me tell you, this one does just that.
I chose the soft grey hue (called Cloudy) in a size M and the coat fits like a glove. It's bulky, warm and very Balenciaga-esque — yet lacks that, ehem, Balenciaga price tag. ;)
Will you be sporting a puffer coat this season?
