When I get dressed in the morning, it never fails, I always falter at my shoe choice.
While I can confidently put together almost any ensemble — albeit in varying lengths of time — I almost invariably stumble when it comes to what I'm going to wear on my feet. Sometimes, I don't even think about my feet until I'm literally headed out the door, at which time I panic about which shoes to choose. (I know, #firstworldproblems)
Case in point: this outfit.
I wore this look during a recent visit to Victoria, and even looking at the photos now, I realize I chose the wrong shoes. It's a fact I knew as soon as I unpacked the look from my overnight bag, which was rather petite and didn't allow for the luxury of two shoe choices on this trip.
Don't get me wrong, I love the tonal fall look, I'm just not sure I love it so much with these boots.
In hindsight, I would much rather have worn a pair of tonally complementing boots, a thought I plan to put into practice when I wear these trousers again — this time with a slightly oversized turtleneck sweater. At least this time, I'm thinking about it in advance. ;)
