I made the trip up to Sonora Resort in 2017, after several attempts to make it there.
The timing, it seemed, was simply never right. Until, as is often the case, it was.
The destination, which is about an hour's flight on a helicopter or seaplane north of Vancouver, is an idyllic waterfront location located on Sonora Island.
The flight affords an unforgettable view of the B.C. coast, and the resort itself, well, it's simply stunning.
From the gourmet food, to the friendly staff — oh, and the crazy-amazing optional excursions including the grizzly bear tour I went on — it was an epic experience that I won't soon forget.
