There's something so charming about a denim dress.
Whether worn in the city, or in the country (as I have here), a jean dress like this one from Le Chateau feels fun and flirty — without being too kitschy or over the top.
But, aside from the figure-flattering cut, I love this dress because it happens to be made in Canada.
I've been trying to make a conscious effort to embrace and support more local fashion businesses in the past year or so. Why? For a multitude of reasons, really ... but perhaps the biggest reason is because, no matter how big or small the Canadian brand is, it's backed by people who have put their hopes and dreams into seeing it succeed.
And THAT'S something I'm happy to buy into.
