Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer: A quick review

Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer: A quick review

What it is: A collection of concealers formulated with Optimal Diffusion powder, which helps to blur and cover imperfections.

Hyaluronic acid, peptides and skin-nourishing vitamins and anti-oxidants round out the mix to leave skin better than before application. Available in 16 skin tone-matching shades.

Beauty bonus: Smooth to apply and very blendable, this concealer is a nice formula.

Beauty bummer: While this concealer is billed as full coverage, we did have a couple stubborn spots that peeked through a bit. But honestly, this wasn't so much of a bummer for us. A little variation in skin pigment makes faces look human and not like plastic.

Overall: We've all tried those concealer that leave eyes looking like they are made of slightly glossy crepe paper. All of our fine lines laid bare – hello, nightmare!

This concealer manages to do the opposite. The product skips the cake-y, heavy look of other concealers and feels very light weight on the skin.

We found a brush or finger application and sponge to blend worked well. As with any cream product, a powder is needed to set the product to prevent creasing, but after doing this, we were good to go for the entire day.

Would recommend? Yes. It offers natural, buildable coverage that can conceal even the most stubborn of spots.
