If you follow me on Instagram, then you know I was recently in Tokyo for work. (Stay tuned for a travel diary!)
Not only was it the experience of a lifetime — but I also had a bit of a fashion revelation while I was there. The Japanese aesthetic is so pared down, but yet not at all boring. In short, I wanted to come back with a suitcase full of clothes.
(Read all about Japanese vs. Scandinavian minimalism in my article for The Vancouver Sun here.)
But while I couldn't exactly justify going on an all-out shopping spree — the idea is minimalism, after all — I did fly home with a few key pieces stuffed into my suitcase. Along with a few mohair sweaters, I snagged this men's low-pro puffer vest to go under my favourite coats.
The effect is visually interesting and oh-so warm. I don't regret the purchase one bit. ;)
This vest, along with these amazing Geox ankle boots, are sure to be on repeat this winter.
Happy Wednesday and thank you for stopping by!
