The twice-yearly event is also a boon for beauty fans who are looking to learn about the latest and greatest techniques.
Now, usually, I wouldn't post about NYFW nails, but the looks coming out of the recent Fall/Winter 2016 shows in New York have been too good to let pass without picking my faves.
Find out which digits caught my eye below.
Trend #1: Long and lean
Long stiletto-shaped nails are here to stay. Basically, we're all just one manicure away from looking like the Kardashians (at least from a nail perspective).

Trend #2: Military cool
Nails get an Army-inspired upgrade from subtle details such as double-stripe detailing and even earthy shades such as soft green and beige.

Trend #3: Baby pink
There's nothing more classic — and classy — than a soft pink manicure. This look was spotted on more than a few runways as more designers bypassed crazy creations in favour of pretty pink.

Trend #4: Heavy metal
While nails are still largely minimal for spring, a few well-placed metallic accents such as stripes or stars can go a long way toward setting a stylish mani apart from the rest.

(Sally Hansen for 3.1 Phillip Lim)
Trend #5: Barely there
This look may well be my favourite. Why? Because it's so low maintenance. You don't have to worry about unsightly chips and snags in your mani if you're in a bind. #beautybonus

Now, who's ready for a mani? :P
Happy Makeup Monday and thank you for stopping by!
