I've never been a huge fan of sweater dresses.

While I love the cozy chicness of the all-in-one outfit piece, I always find that they don't fit me quite right.

Usually I'm looking for casual, cool vibes when I don a sweater dress, and yet somehow, I always feel it comes off a tad skimpy and sexy — which is not really my thing.

But I was determined to make it work with this Bench Canada version. Why?

Well, partly because it's in my current fave colour (grey!) and partly because it has a chic turtleneck (obsessed!).

So, I paired it with classic sneakers and an oversized coat for a laid-back look I thought took the sex appeal right out of this bad boy.

But I guess all that bare leg adds a bit of allure anyway. :P
