In the past, there have been few things that get me as anxiety ridden as the idea of lounging around in a bathing suit ... in front of strangers ... for a large portion of the day.
Growing up, I struggled with my weight (don't worry, I'm not going to make this a sob story!), had a few nasty run-ins with kids at the pool, and have since been a bit timid about swimwear.
But I don't know whether it's because I'm getting older (I turn 29 this Saturday!) and hence am becoming more comfortable with my body, or I've just realized what works for my shape when it comes to swimsuits and am finally skipping what doesn't — but during my last trip to Las Vegas, I actually felt pretty OK in my bathing suit!
We spent almost an entire day lounging luxuriously in a cabana (something I highly recommend splurging on if you ever get the chance!) at the pool, and I only felt myself tensing up with apprehension about my "swimsuit body" a few times.
Yes, my thighs touch, I could use some work in the six-pack department — and I happen to have a rather big butt, but I'm OK with that. Finally, I'm OK with that.
I guess this whole getting older thing isn't so bad after all. :P

Happy Wednesday and thank you for stopping by!
