There's just something about air shows that get my engine running.

I've always loved these outdoor, eyes-to-the-sky events. Maybe it's the fair food, the budget-friendly admission prices, or the fact that I would never — ever(!) be able to do what those pilots can do because I'm such a scared-y cat about flying ... but I always leave feeling entertained — and awe struck!

While I was baking in the 80+-degree heat (what was I thinking wearing all black!?) at the Abbotsford International Airshow last weekend, I couldn't help but stop for a few blog photos.

I mean, it's not every day you get the chance to strike a pose on a runway.
