Perfect holiday party outfit: Tibi Simona skirt and evergreen plaid

I adore Christmas. From the family fun and gift giving to the food-filled tables and anticipation for Boxing Day -- there's little that I dislike about the holiday season.

I suppose that's why it doesn't take much for me to want to dress up during this time of year. Whether for an office party or shindig at a friend's house, I'm game to step up my sartorial side during the holidays -- and this Simona skirt from Tibi lets me do just that. 

Though the full skirt-silhouette may seem somewhat limiting, I have found this piece surprisingly versatile. If you can look past the price, it's worth its weight in holiday cheer when paired with virtually anything - from cashmere (seen here) to plain ole plaid.
