Celine Nano Luggage vs. Proenza Schouler PS11 Tiny: A friendly comparison

Celine Nano Luggage vs. Proenza Schouler PS11 Tiny: A friendly comparison

Having an eeny, meeny, miny, moe moment when it comes to the Celine Nano Luggage and

the Proenza Schouler PS11 Tiny? Let me help you with that.

Celine Nano Luggage red

Brand: Celine
Style: Nano Luggage
Dimensions: 8″H x 8″W x 4″D
Strap length: 45"
Colour: Red
Made in: Italy
Material: Drummed leather
Interior material: Micro suede

Pros: An adorable cross body bag, the Nano is ideal for someone looking for a hands-free option that's roomy yet structured -- and still has the look of the iconic Celine Luggage.
The drummed, or pebbled, leather is durable and relatively scratch resistant - a nice trait for a small bag that rubs against your clothes and swings around your body most of the day.

Cons: I've said it before and I will say it again ... the interior of this bag is micro suede, a fact I find totally unacceptable. If you're going to plunk down more than $2,000 for any handbag (I don't care if it's Celine, Chanel, Mulberry, or ...?) I think every detail of the bag should be top tier -- even the oft-unseen interior. Very disappointing.

Proenza Schouler PS11 Tiny in Oil Slick
Brand: Proenza Schouler
Style: PS11 Tiny
Dimensions: 7.5"L x 2.5"W x 6.5" H
Strap length: 40"/ 20.5" Drop
Colour: Oil Slick
Made in: Italy
Material: Patent leather
Interior material: Leather

Pros: The sturdy construction of the Proenza Schouler PS11 Tiny allows it to be but more than just an occasional-use handbag -- even with this unique finish.

Cons: While the sturdy construction makes this bag virtually sag proof, it also makes it a tad stiff.

Read the full review (with photos!) of the PS11 Tiny here.

Overall Comparison: I can comfortably carry my iPhone, sunglasses case, wallet, keys and small makeup essentials in the Nano. When I'm travelling, it's also not a stretch to fit a small digital camera inside as well.
The PS11 Tiny, on the other hand, only fits a small wallet, lipstick, keys and cellphone before it starts looking uncomfortably stuffed.

Final word: While the price point is slightly better on the PS11 Tiny, and despite my distaste over the Celine Nano's non-leather interior, I would opt for the Nano any day.
It's roomier, has a longer strap and just seems to offer a little more bang for your designer buck.

You have fabulous taste in bag!!!
Great review! Both bags are amazing! I mean I drool anytime I see a Celine luggage bag, it's disappointing to read that the interior is micro suede. At that price point, it's insulting.
As for the PS11, I love them! I'm glad you mentioned how stiff the bag is because I had a feeling it was. I like a structure bag but it's always nice when the leather stretches a little.
The mini lives on my list of must have! I've already told my better half that I expect him to bring me a PS11 mini as push present! lol! I figure that's worth the 9 months of carrying a baby! Right?!?!

Thanks, Jackie! I always love sharing my handbag thoughts, so it's great to read that someone enjoys them. LOL!

I think the PS11 would suit you perfectly. And you should DEFINITELY demand one from your other half.
