Travel diary: Fun in the Capri sun

My two-week tour of Southern Italy and Sicily will see me stopping in many interesting cities including Rome, Pompeii and Palermo, but it was my planned jaunt to the island of Capri that had me the most excited.

And let's just say, it didn't disappoint. 

As I type this I am sitting in the sun on a semi-private patio at the Hotel San Michele in Anacapri. Though the streets are crowded with tourists, the sunny island boasts stunning views, turquoise water and fabulous 5-star shopping. 

It's everything I hoped it would be ... and more.
