Be it a fashion designer who specializes in jewelry, clothing, accessories or all of the above, the opportunity to meet with any creative mind is an invaluable occasion.
With that said, when I received an invitation to a recent cocktail event for French designer Roland Mouret at The Room in the Hudson's Bay store in downtown Vancouver -- I was honoured and excited to attend.
Mouret, who released his first collection in 1998, had commented before the event about the importance of meeting his clients in order to better understand what they require from his collections in terms of designs -- and meet them he did.
The celebrated designer worked the swanky space, posing for photos and greeting the crowd that was comprised of some of the city's most fashionable journalist, TV personalities, designers, bloggers and even a former Real Housewife of Vancouver.
