Winter wardrobe: Mackage leather jacket and a faux fur vest look cool in the winter sun

From vests to shawls, faux fur has been on heavy rotation in my winter wardrobe.
For months I had been searching for a black faux fur vest that (a.) didn't make me look like an extra on the set of Monsters Inc., or (b.) wasn't more like a '70s shag carpet than an actual animal pelt.
I found this version by Simply Vera Vera Wang on a recent pilgrimage to the States, and I was pleased with its length, blend of brown/black fibres, and overall look.
Paired with a leather jacket, blouse or pants, faux fur gets a dose of deluxe that elevates it from the everyday -- to the spectacular.
