Few fashion subjects are as polarizing as the faux vs. real fur debate.
The 12-year-old, animal rights activist version of myself would be quick to turn up her nose and waltz away (clad in an "Against animal testing" T-shirt, of course!) at the very mention of fur. But the more I delve into the world of fashion and street style, the more I have come to respect the idea of incorporating real fur into one's wardrobe.
With that said, however, I'm still not yet convinced real fur is for me.
After many sleepless, regret-filled nights spent thinking about a faux fur stole I passed up at Aritzia during the end of winter sales last year, I happened across this version a few months ago.
Though initially skeptical about its wearability, I have since found it a versatile topper that's both fashionable and functional. And the best part? I'd like to think I've made the tween me proud.
